Smiling dog with a cast on its leg

Many orthopedic surgeries are not an option and there is usually a reason.  It  could be anything from chasing a squirrel and tearing their ACL in the knee or getting out of the backyard and getting ran over that land a pet on the surgery table for an orthopedic surgery.  Many times, these surgeries are necessary to improve the pet’s quality of life or even their function.  We offer many surgeries in the clinic that typically might be referred to a larger specialty hospital.  We can do the complete work up if needed or work with your referring vet to look at radiographs, schedule surgery time, and do follow-up care.

Some of the orthopedic surgeries that we do include fracture repairs using plates, screws, and/or pins, anterior cruciate repairs (ACL tear), either extracapsular, for smaller pets, or tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO) for larger pets, amputations, or tibial crest surgery.
